How fast can I get connected?

Internet connection with Next Business Telecom generally takes between 3-5 business days, depending on several factors.

If you require VOIP, provisioning can take up to 3-4 weeks.

Are there any setup fees for the service?

There will be a once-off cost to activate the service with Nextalk.

If you need a phone line installed or reactivated and you do not have one at your premises, providing that it is a live NBN area, then there will be no cost for neither of the above, as it is Government funded.

What speeds can I expect?

Next Business Telecom uses NBN, which provides maximum download speeds of up to 100Mbps, and maximum upload speeds of up to 40Mbps.
Not happy with your current signed up NBN speed with NBT? No problems, just simply call our friendly staff, and they will assist you by switching you to a higher more efficient speed, to suit your needs better!

Actual speeds will be slightly lower, however, unlike ADSL or ADSL2+, the speed you have been offered, is what you should be experiencing. The internet traffic, upload and download speeds will be a lot more reliable on the upgraded, faster and more efficient NBN.

Do I need a phone line to connect?

No. NBN is not provisioned through a telephone service, therefore it is not required to access the internet.

We have a range of plans to suit your needs, including internet with and without a bundled voice over plan. For more assistance, just have a chat with one of our friendly staff.

Things You Should Know
  • This product consists of an NBN broadband service and optional VOIP service depending on the package you select.
  • Minimum term is 24 months for all plans.
  • NBN Services are not available in all areas or premises. There may also be technical or commercial reasons that affect our ability to connect a service at your address. To check your serviceability please contact our customer service team at 1300 254 777.
  • If you add NBN VOIP to your plan, all phone call charges are subject to the rates listed above. Depending on your selected plan, you may have included local, national or mobile calls. 13/1300 and International calls are always subject to additional charges as outlined above.
